Police Update - Parkland Walk Investigation

We are aware of the concern within the community following a serious incident reported on Parkland Walk, Highgate on the evening of Tuesday 30 June 2026.

Police have launched an investigation following a report of rape at approximately 10:30pm. Officers attended the scene alongside the London Ambulance Service and a cordon was established while enquiries were carried out. Specialist officers are supporting the woman who made the report.

As part of the investigation, a 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of rape and remains in police custody.

Detective Inspector Warren Ingrey, who is leading the investigation, said:

"We are aware of the concern that the community will have following this incident. Police patrols have been increased in the area and anyone with concerns is asked to speak to officers.

"We would also encourage any witnesses or anyone with information about what happened to please come forward as soon as possible."

Officers will continue to maintain an increased presence in the area to provide reassurance and support to the community while the investigation progresses.
